International Forest School Association

The International Forest School Association (IFSA) is the professional body assuring quality Forest School training, leadership and facilitation worldwide.
We oversee Forest School certifications and qualifications. We assess learners' and centres' commitment to high-quality Forest School practice. Our aim is to raise standards and improve transparency in awards, certifications, and qualifications, ensuring greater regulation in Forest School practices, training, and leadership worldwide.

Until very recently, Forest School regulation only existed in the UK. At the IFSA, we believe in celebrating the global community of Forest Schoolers. Through inclusive practice and the promotion of diversity within Forest School, the IFSA aims to change the UK-centered approach. Our goal is to develop networks of support and development, so learners worldwide (including the UK) can benefit from high quality Forest School training. Essentially, the IFSA's mission is for Forest School to become accessible for all.
There has never been a better time to ensure high-quality Forest School leadership and training.
If you believe your Forest School deserves recognition, apply today. If your application is successful, you will receive a badge of excellence for your site and the IFSA leader recognition, authenticating your practice and leadership.
